Featured in the May/June 2023 issue, the list is a comprehensive measurement of American companies that have excelled in creating exceptional workplaces and company culture, whether operating in a physical or a virtual environment. The issue hit newsstands on May 16, 2023, and is prominently featured on Inc.com.

Inc’s Survey Methodology

After collecting data from thousands of submissions, Inc. selected 591 honorees this year. Each company nominated took part in an employee survey, conducted by Quantum Workplace, which included topics like management effectiveness, perks, fostering employee growth, and overall company culture. The organization’s benefits were also audited to determine overall score and ranking.

To be eligible for the 2023 Inc. Best Workplaces award, Monument had to submit an application, complete the Quantum Workplace employee survey, and meet each of the following qualifications:

  • Be independent (not a subsidiary or division of another company)
  • Be based in the United States
  • Have at least 5 permanent employees
  • Have been in business at least 2 years
  • Have total annual revenue less than $1 billion
