Even though we’re proud Washintoniansthere’s nothing like a little travel to spice things up!  This October, we sent our Private Wealth AdvisorErin Hay, CFA to represent Monument at the CityWire RIA Retreat in Austin, TX.  While he was there, Monument was recognized as a Future 50 Independent Wealth Manager winner by the CityWire team!

Future 50 Top Financial Advisors
Every year, CityWire likes to recognize 50 RIA firms that best represent our vision of the future of the industry” through independence, diversity and inclusion, and sustainability.

CityWire hand-selects recipients for the award from a detailed list of Registered Investment Advisor firms who share these values.  Breaking from the tendencies of the finance industry is one of the ways we have differentiated ourselves from the competitionAccording to the CFP Board and the Bureau of Labor Statistics, only about 32% of all financial advisors are women. Here at Monument, our 70% female wealth management team proudly represents an integral component of our identity.  The women of Monument, majority of which are under 40 years old, are razor sharp, innovative, collaborative, and creative. They reflect the next generation of leaders at the firm by embodying the same vision of the future that CityWire seeks to recognize nationally.

We’re a company that trusts what works, while being wary of gimmicks and trends.  When we think there might be a better way, we question the way things have “always been done”.  Nothing makes that kind of disruptive innovation easier than Teammates, like Client Experience Manager Cathleen Phelps, who is motivated by a challenge and a love of learning.”  It’s this kind of entrepreneurial spirit that acts as the nexus for our brain trust, uniting a passion for numbers with keen, renegade vision.  Our unique team structure reflects the creative, collaborative work environment that spearheads our ability to provide our clients not just with good advice, but wealth of insight.
