Monument in the Community
Here at Monument, we understand that our influence within the community extends well beyond helping our clients fulfill their dreams and aspirations. We are committed to serving our community and believe it is our responsibility to do so.
Volunteering
The Monument Wealth team spends time volunteering, both as a team and individually, for causes we care about.
Holiday Drives and Donations
Each year, Monument makes contributions to each team member’s charity of choice! We also contribute to various holiday drives including Toys for Tots and winter coat drives.
Monument Wealth Partnerships
Through our partnerships with organizations, we aim to build stronger and more supportive communities. These partnerships allow us to collaborate on meaningful initiatives and support fundraising events for causes close to our hearts.
Wednesday Women
Monument proudly supports the Wednesday Women organization to “celebrate female executive leaders you should know, learn from, and be inspired by”. As a firm that’s disrupting wealth industry norms with over 50% female employees, the Monument team is committed to helping women feel prepared and empowered to build wealth with purpose.
Building Community
Several members of our team proudly serve on non-profit boards and contribute to local organizations, dedicating their time, expertise, and resources to causes and communities that matter to them.
David B. Armstrong, CFA, is a member of several boards including Community Foundation for Northern Virginia (CFNOVA), The Station Foundation, Marine Corps Heritage Foundation, and VA State Chamber of Commerce. He also leverages his own podcast, Moments in Leadership, to advance leadership lessons to all leaders across all the service branches.
Emily Harper, CFP®, is a member of the CFNOVA Business Women’s Giving Circle. The all-woman group aims to empower girls and women of all ages through philanthropy in the Northern Virginia region.
Shaping the Next Generation
Our year-round internship program is more than just a career building experience; it is a gateway to help shape the next generation of skilled advisors and keen thinkers. At Monument, we provide opportunities for education, growth and collaboration for younger generations so they can become the best versions of themselves. Find out more about our internship program here.
