Monument Wealth Presents at Barron’s Advisor Team Summit

Monument Wealth Presents to the Financial Advisor Community at Barron’s Advisor Teams Summit

Monument Wealth was honored to present at the Barron’s Advisor Teams Summit in Las Vegas on May 7, 2024. The session titled “Dollars and Data: How to Speak Your Client’s Language in the Digital Age,” was delivered by Monument’s Co-Founder David B. Armstrong, CFA along with our Chief Marketing Officer, Emilie Totten. The presentation covered how Monument utilizes its video podcast to elevate our brand and improve our client experience. The purpose was to share our learnings with the Barron’s Advisor community in hopes of inspiring change as the world continues to evolve and become more digitally connected.

Leading the Charge in Brand Strategy & Client Communications

At Monument, we are deeply committed to giving back to our communities, including the wealth advisor community at large. Dave has been a frequent speaker at the Barron’s Advisor Teams Summit since 2008, sharing his expertise in business and leadership with the industry’s top professionals. This year, we highlighted how our firm is leading the charge in brand strategy and client communications through digital marketing tactics like video podcasting, email, and social media. Our presentation continued a long tradition of actively engaging with industry peers to share knowledge and drive excellence in client experience.

Key Highlights of the Presentation

  1. Rethinking the Value Proposition: Everyone claims to have great client service, but it’s NOT a value proposition. Every high-net-worth investor, executive, or business owner expects great service from their wealth advisor. It’s table stakes—not a differentiator. Dave spoke about how to build a strategic brand value proposition that truly matters to clients to help firms differentiate themselves in the “sea of sameness.”
  2. Designing a Video-Based Content Strategy: While face-to-face meetings are still very much valued, we recognize the importance of virtual engagement in today’s world. Emilie spoke about transforming our marketing strategy through video podcasting. By producing our wealth management and business podcast in video, we repurpose the content for shorter form videos, resource articles, and social media posts to reach a larger audience. By collaborating with other professionals and inviting key guests onto the podcast, Monument is elevating the conversation and helping high-net-worth investors and business professionals build wealth with purpose.

Aligning with Our Guiding Principles

The presentation underscores Monument’s guiding principles which focus on always “finding a better way” through collaboration, experimentation, innovative technologies, desire to stay curious, and enjoying what we do.

We consider clear communication to be the bedrock of developing and maintaining strong, meaningful relationships and will continue to push the envelope and innovate as our clients and the world evolve.

We want to thank Barron’s Advisor for allowing us to share our knowledge with the community and look forward to next year!
