WASHINGTON, Oct. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — Monument Wealth Management, a financial advisory firm that helps accomplished entrepreneurs transition to a life of long-term financial independence, announced today that Managing Director and Co-Founder,David B. Armstrong, CFA, had the honor of being a scholar in the 2014 Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses class held in atBabson College in Boston, Massachusetts.  The class is invite-only and is extended to successful entrepreneurs around the country.  David was one of 90 scholars accepted of over 300 applicants.

Goldman Sachs created their 10,000 Small Businesses program to serve as an “investment to help entrepreneurs create jobs and economic opportunity by providing greater access to education, capital and business support services.”   Since “small businesses have generated 64 percent of net new jobs over the past 15 years,” Goldman Sachs designed 10,000 Small Businesses to “tap into that economic power” so everyone can work together to continue to “grow and create jobs.”

Armstrong and the Monument Wealth Management Team recognize that it is a great honor to be invited to participate in Goldman Sachs’ 10,000 Small Businesses class, and Armstrong is excited to “meet and learn from some of the most successful entrepreneurs in the country” during his trip to Boston, so he can use his newfound knowledge to continue to improve his practice.

Likely reasons why David B. Armstrong, CFA, was selected to participate include his numerous mentions in the press and presentations at conferences held by Barron’s, LPL Financial, SIFMA, MMI, IndexUniverse, IMCA, and more.  Monument Wealth Management has also been viewed as a thought leader through their 2013 and 2014 “Best Places to Work” awards from theWashington Business Journal, their feature in Research Magazine‘s 2012 article, “A Cool Place to Work,” and their 2009 and 2010 Registered Rep. awards as Top 100 Independent Advisors in America.
