COMMIT Foundation’s 2nd Annual Gala

Monument Wealth Management Steps Up as Gold Sponsor for COMMIT Foundation’s 2nd Annual Gala in Honor of Transitioning Veterans

For years now, Monument Wealth Management has been supporting COMMIT Foundation, which helps transition veterans into the civilian business world.  COMMIT Foundation’s mission “is to change the way Veterans think about their transition from the military,” and their overall goal “is to create serendipity for Veterans by bringing perspective, people, and opportunity into their lives.”

This year, Monument has stepped up as a Gold Sponsor for COMMIT Foundation’s 2nd Annual Gala in Honor of Transitioning Veterans.  The Gala will be held at the Oregon Ridge Lodge in Maryland on Thursday, May 21st, and has a casual and festive “Bluegrass & BBQ” theme.  Grammy Nominated Blue Grass Band, The Boxcars, and Comedian, Sebastian Maniscalco, will be performing.  The Guest of Honor for the night will be General Michael Flynn.

Along with sponsoring the Gala, Monument’s very own Lieutenant Colonel David B. Armstrong, USMC, spends time mentoring Veterans, and the rest of the Monument Team contributes time toward COMMIT events.  Last fall, Monument worked with COMMIT to host a D.C. rooftop fundraiser which raised just over $25,000.  The funds helped send eight Veterans to Stanford Graduate School of Business for a general management certification program, and also went toward an extremely intimate gathering in Baltimore, MD for 12 Veterans and 12 executives to explore career paths and next steps for a meaningful transition.

Monument is a proud supporter of COMMIT Foundation and all of their efforts to smoothly and effectively transition veterans into the business world, and will continue to support the foundation for years to come.
