What comes to mind when you think of Wisconsin? Farmland? Cheese? Growing up in a small Wisconsin town, Nate can confirm that the cheese is as good as they say it is, but what shaped him most was being a part of a strong, close-knit community with a desire to help your neighbors.
Nate got his first taste of the financial industry during high school as a part-time teller at his local bank. Once he saw how he could blend his love for numbers with the personal conversation and connection of working with his regulars, he headed straight to the University of Wisconsin-Madison for a degree in economics and a future in wealth management.
After working locally at an independent Registered Investment Advisory firm for a few years, Nate made the move to the D.C. area for an opportunity at Merrill Lynch. However, he quickly realized that working for a gigantic firm meant cookie cutter solutions and an inherently rigid culture. So, he ditched the suit and tie and headed back to the independent space where he could work more collaboratively with a team and more intimately with clients.
Nate’s goal is helping clients use what they have, to get where they most want to go– so they can reach not just their potential for wealth but their potential for living. He enjoys the detail of diving into portfolio allocations, investment performance, and analysis, but also the personal side of helping our clients fully and clearly understand how their customized portfolios can help them achieve their desired lifestyle and legacy.
Outside of the investment space, Nate’s passion for numbers and people led him to volunteer as a calculus tutor for high school and college students. In his down time, you can find him on any lake boating, fishing or watching his black lab, Jax, swim.
