Heaven hails from the great state of Nevada. She grew up in a Las Vegas suburb then moved to Massachusetts for her high school years. With a fascination of epidemiology, Heaven began studying Public Health at Tulane, where in her spare time she tutored underprivileged kids. This experience in New Orleans, post-hurricane Katrina, hit her hard—and inspired her interest in economics and more specifically, becoming a financial planner. This is when Heaven’s career trajectory took a turn to finance and she transferred to Georgetown, here in the nation’s capital, for a bachelor’s in Finance and concentration in Economics.
By the time Heaven joined our Team full-time, she was already somewhat of a Monument veteran, as she completed a two-year “interview” here as an intern. During the first year, Heaven contributed to projects across all areas of the firm and found she was intrinsically drawn to the Private Wealth Design side of our business. So, during her second year, she worked closely with our Wealth Design Team and was able to observe client meetings. This made Heaven confident in her decision to pursue a career as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM and Private Wealth Advisor— and just as important–she knew Monument was just the place to do it.
Heaven strongly believes in Monument’s Private Wealth Designs because financial security isn’t being able to predict the future, but instead, it’s about knowing you have a solid plan in place. She works under the conviction that anything worth building is worth doing not just well, but thoughtfully, sustainably, and in a way that matters to each client.
An added bonus to having Heaven around the office is her ambitious holiday baking projects, aiming to churn out 500 cookies, to the detriment of her family and friends’ waistlines. Heaven’s a huge dog lover and has been lucky enough to visit 17 different countries (and counting)!
