Emily M. Harper, CFP®
Private Wealth Advisor

“Wealth is the ability to fully experience life.”Henry David Thoreau

After graduating from the University of Virginia, Emily dove head first into the financial industry, unsure of what she ultimately wanted to do. During a seven-year run in various advisory and leadership roles at T. Rowe Price, Emily obtained her FINRA series 7 and 66 licenses, a certificate in Financial Planning from UVA’s School of Continuing Education and Professional Studies, and her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM designation. (WOW! Who would’ve known her degree was in Art History?) Realizing that investment sales wasn’t her passion, she joined the Monument Team as a Private Wealth Advisor to focus on being a true practitioner of her craft.

Her eagerness to absorb information and excel show every day through her interactions with our clients and Team, along with her involvement in the Financial Planning Association. She works with clients through Monument’s Private Wealth Planning process and receives satisfaction knowing that she plays a role in helping families achieve their life goals.

Emily also puts her all into almost daily classes at the Barre studio in our building, her extensive home garden for gourmet home cooking with her husband and being the best “dog mom” ever to her sweet but mischievous brown lab, Rory.
