Emily M. Harper, CFP® Private Wealth Advisor
Emily’s background in the financial industry began after she graduated from the University of Virginia. During a seven-year run in various advisory and leadership roles at a global asset management firm, Emily acquired four industry licenses, a certificate in Financial Planning from UVA, and her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM designation.
Emily loves collaborating closely with each of our clients to make sense of their complex financial lives. There are many intricacies and competing wants, big ideas and small obstacles. Emily gets great satisfaction knowing that she plays a role in helping families achieve their life goals.
She also loves that she can bring her sweet but mischievous chocolate lab, Rory into the office! During her first week in the office, she ran to grab something off the printer and when she got back Rory had somehow managed to climb up onto the desks—and discovering her new thrill for “desk surfing”.
When Emily’s not at the office, she’s likely working with her Darden School of Business MBA study group, or at Barre class, which she attends almost every day. At home, Emily and her husband enjoy tending their extensive garden of heirloom tomatoes, hot peppers, cucumbers and more. Rory doesn’t get to eat their garden-to-table meals, but she does keep them company while they cook and enjoy their yard in Del Ray.
