Brittany’s life has always been filled with creativity. Between painting, blowing glass, sculpting with clay, creating needle felted animals, and working digitally…you name it, she’s tried it. Brittany grew up surrounded by the turquoise waters of the Caribbean. She loves everything about color and often finds inspiration from a single hue, bringing happy, whimsical pieces to life. She holds two Bachelors of Fine Arts degrees, one in Glass and Glass Sculpture from Rochester Institute of Technology and the second in Graphic Design from Savannah College of Art and Design.
Brittany was drawn to Monument because we take 3-dimensional problems and create solutions that are intelligent, thoughtful, and creatively conceived. This is exactly what she was hoping to find in a company. She knew it was meant to be when she found out our Marketing Team would be made up of “the Brittanys!” But of course, it was the Monument dogs that really won her over. (She is the proud pawrent of two adorable English Bulldogs, Harley and Oliver.) Brittany brings her creative brain and expertise in all things design and marketing to Monument. The Brittanys are often found collaborating together making sure the Monument brand and communications are on point.
When she’s not at Monument, Brittany runs her own small business, volunteers on the Board as a Director of Curating for a local non-profit gallery and is an active member of The Professional Association for Design (AIGA DC). In the rare occasion she’s not creating, she is usually hopping around Alexandria and DC with her husband Scott in search for yummy gluten free food!
As you can tell, Brittany loves to keep busy (she likes to say she has “squirrel syndrome!”) and she loves to help others find their passion for art and design.
