Cecelia M. Gilliam

Client Experience Manager

“The road to success is filled with many trials. We have the perseverance, determination, the team, the ability, the traditions and most of all the spirit to be champions.”
—Unknown

Cecelia grew up here in Alexandria in a well-organized home of chaos as the fifth of nine siblings. After graduating from Immaculata University, She became a manager at 1789 Restaurant, managed her father’s medical practice and optical shop, and then managed the accounting department at her brother’s home improvement company. For Cecelia, family is everything, and she’s been fortunate to work with and be near her immediate family for all these years. Similarly, Cecelia says the Monument Team is like a family to her–sharing stories, a lot of laughs and working together help change our clients’ lives.

Cecelia has a curiosity and keenness for learning about different industries. The experience she’s gained from her previous management positions has made her a key player in all things operational at Monument. The skills she brings to the table help our clients, and our team, navigate the complexities and nuances of the industry.

At home, Cecelia’s three boys keep her and her husband very busy. They coach their sports teams and take them on cross country road trips to see all their cousins.

Cecelia strongly believes that every day you need to have a good laugh. Of everyone at Monument, she’s been named “Most Favorite Auntie” by the Monument office dogs. They know they can count on her to throw a ball or toy their way, and she can’t help but slip a dog treat under the desks to them every now and then.
